I want a size in between two of the sizes you offer — what do I do?

No problem at all! Just order the next size up (for example, if you’d like a 95 cm table, choose the 100 cm option) and pop a note in the order box telling us the exact size you’d like. We’ll custom cut it to fit your space perfectly. Easy.

 

What’s your current lead time?

All of our pieces are handmade to order, so a little patience goes a long way!

Wooden items: up to 15 working days before dispatch

3D printed items: usually 3–5 working days

During busy periods or for highly customised orders, things can take a little longer — but we promise it’s worth the wait.

Can I request a custom order?

Absolutely — we love a creative challenge! Whether you want a tweak to the size, finish, or a completely new design, just drop us an email at sales@cuttingedgecd.co.uk with your idea. We’ll let you know what’s possible and work with you to bring it to life.

Can I see the wood before you make my item?

We totally get the curiosity! However, raw slabs of wood rarely look like the finished piece — they’re rough, unpolished, and don’t show their true colours until we’ve worked our magic. For that reason, we don’t usually send photos of the wood beforehand.

That said, if you have a specific look or tone in mind (e.g. lighter oak, darker grain, more character), just add a note to your order or email us — we’ll do our best to select a piece that fits your vibe.

What does “leg height” refer to?

“Leg height” means the height of the legs alone, not including the tabletop. The top will add a few extra centimetres to the overall height, so plan accordingly — especially if your table is sitting above a radiator or matching existing furniture.

How should I care for my table or chopping board?

Treat your handmade piece with the same love we put into making it:

Avoid submerging in water — wood and soaking don’t mix.

Wipe clean with a damp cloth.

Every so often, refresh it with a little food-safe mineral oil (or similar) to keep it looking beautiful and nourished.

How will my order be delivered?

We ship with trusted couriers like ParcelForce and Evri (and UPS or FedEx for international orders). You’ll receive tracking details once your order’s on the move. Most parcels within the UK arrive within 1–3 working days of dispatch.
