Refunds/Returns
At Cutting Edge Creations, every item is handmade with care and attention to detail. We want every customer to love their order — but we also have to protect our small business from unfair use of refunds and chargebacks. Below you’ll find our clear, balanced policy.
Returns for Faulty or Damaged Items
If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 7 days of delivery at sales@cuttingedgecd.co.uk with your order number and photos of the issue.
We’ll assess the problem and, where appropriate, arrange a replacement or refund.
In the case of confirmed defects, we will also refund the cost of your return postage.
Please ensure items are returned in their original condition and securely packaged for transit.
Custom-Made & Made-to-Order Items
Most of our wooden pieces and many of our 3D printed products are custom made to order. This means they are created specifically for you — with your chosen size, finish, or colour.
Because of this, we cannot accept returns or issue refunds for:
A change of mind after ordering
Incorrect measurements provided by the customer
Failing to read the full product description before purchase
This does not affect your statutory rights. If a custom item arrives faulty or not as described, we’ll work with you to put it right.
Processing Times & Dispatch
Our current dispatch times are:
Wooden items: up to 15 working days
3D printed items: usually 3–5 working days
Busy periods or custom requests may extend these times slightly. If you have a deadline in mind, please contact us before ordering — we’ll always do our best to accommodate.
Chargebacks & Non-Payment
Unfortunately, fraudulent chargebacks have become increasingly common in online retail. As a small, independent business, we cannot absorb the cost of goods sent without payment.
If a chargeback is raised without prior contact or a resolution attempt, we will provide full delivery and communication evidence to the payment provider.
Where a chargeback is raised but an item has been delivered and not paid for, we reserve the right to pursue recovery through the Small Claims Court.
In such cases, the customer may be held liable for:
The original payment amount
Court fees
Any associated costs of recovery
We always prefer to resolve matters amicably, so please contact us first if there’s an issue — we’re a small team and will always work with you to find a fair outcome.
