Transform your worktop with a show-stopping chef board crafted from solid English oak and finished with your choice of striking resin inlays. Each piece is shaped, burned, and finished by hand in our countryside workshop — no two will ever look the same.

What Makes It Special

Live edge English oak full of character, depth, and natural grain

Lichtenberg lightning pattern created by (very safely) running high voltage through the wood

Custom resin inlay — choose a colour that complements your kitchen or go bold

Hand-finished with a smooth, food-safe wax blend

Sustainably sourced timber, rescued from trees felled for construction projects and given a second life

This is the kind of board that makes guests say, “Where on earth did you get that?”

Your Options

Choose your:

Length: 40cm / 50cm / 60cm

Depth: 25–30cm (add a note if you have a preference)

Resin Colour: Pick your favourite!

Thickness: approx. 2–3cm
Finish: Smooth, waxed, and ready for use

What You Should Know

Every board is completely one-of-a-kind — expect unique knots, patterns, and natural features

Resin is used to stabilise any imperfections, ensuring long-lasting durability

Keep away from direct heat; avoid placing hot pans on the board

Hand wash only; avoid soaking or very humid environments

Treat with chopping board oil/mineral oil every 12 months to keep it looking its best

Some resin colours may appear darker when poured into the Lichtenberg burns — this is normal and part of the effect

Cutting will naturally leave marks over time (as with any wooden chopping board)

The Story Behind the Wood

We’re a small, family-run workshop, and sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. Most of our oak comes from local sawmills saving timber that would otherwise be lost — like trees removed during HS2 and other infrastructure works. The wood is sawn, seasoned, and then crafted into something beautiful rather than being burned or wasted. That matters to us.

Delivery & Returns

These chef boards are custom-made to your specifications and therefore fall under the UK/EU exemption for personalised items — meaning they’re not eligible for return. If anything isn’t right when your order arrives, just drop us an email and we’ll sort it.
